A tank that reports its own level
A smart tank is a diesel storage tank with measurement built in. An automatic tank gauge (ATG) reads the level, receipts and draw-downs are recorded as they happen, and the numbers appear on an app and a web dashboard. Site heads check stock without dipping the tank, and an unusual drop raises an alert the same day instead of turning up at month-end.
